Accepting Your Future Greatness

Inspiring-greatness-in-othersToday’s Scripture:  “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)

We are new creations in Christ, born anew. When God called you to do a new thing, He is faithful to lead and guide you every step of the way. His timing is perfect and His vision is absolute. He knows what you are capable of achieving. If you can believe it, you can achieve it. God knows all about you. God knew you before He formed you. He thought about you from the days of old, all of eternity holds a plan for you.

The Psalmist David knew exactly who God was and what He is capable of doing. He wrote “My substance was not hid from thee. Thine eyes did see my substance, and in thy book all my members were written. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand.” (Psalm 139:15a-18a) He also wrote: “Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, and are acquainted with all of my ways. Thou understandest my thought afar off. For there is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O LORD, thou knowest it althogether. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain.”  (Ps. 139:2-3,6)

Let go of the past and start dwelling on the fact that God has a great future in store for you. He has a new beginning for you. Move forward to see the great and mighty things that God has in store for you. Does God’s vision match what you think fits your style, your taste, your level of expertise? What do you do when your plans don’t match God’s vision? How do you compare your vision to God’s plan and why? His ways are higher and so are His thoughts. See yourself as God sees you. Put your trust in God, and discover the brighter life that awaits you.

Bountiful blessing of love, peace, and joy to you!
