An At-Home Cold Remedy That Will Help You Lose Weight
Fall is here and winter is upon us, which is great with the exception of one thing–our susceptibility to catching colds and common viruses. Thankfully there is a simple at-home cold remedy which can be made without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
According to Livestrong and Mayo Clinic, unprocessed honey can aid in weight loss. It is also a natural sweetener, so you do not have to resort to sugar packets to add flavor. Honey is metabolized the same way sugar is, so your body recognizes it as virtually the same thing. These ingredients also happen to work wonders on a sore throat when combined in one cup of hot tea.
You will need some honey, cinnamon, a lemon or orange slice, and your favorite hot tea flavor.
Simply mix the ingredients to your liking and sip! Not only will you avoid taking a dreaded drive to the local drugstore while you’re sick, but this pure, homemade concoction will allow you to stay mindful of your weight at the same time.
If you have a busy day ahead of you and would rather purchase in a drive-thru, stop at Starbucks and ask for a drink filled halfway with hot water, the other half with steamed lemonade, and a pump of peppermint. This will immediately refreshen your senses and have virtually the same soothing effect on your throat and sinuses. The lemon will help curb your appetite as well.
